BANGALORE: The weather seems to have ensured a cosy weekend indoors. Over the past few days, the city has been quite chilly in the mornings and in the evenings, specially after a downpour. The minimum temperature is 20 degrees Celsius, while the maximum is slightly above normal, around 26.6 degrees Celsius.
There was moderate rain all over the city, which recorded 9.5 cm of rainfall on Saturday. In the Majestic area and M G Road, people had to endure traffic jams and water logging as the rain did not seem to relent. Incessant rains uprooted some trees in Jeevanbimanagar. Rains that began in the afternoon, had not stopped till late in the night. The downpour also caused severe waterlogging in Sriramapuram, Okalipuram and parts of Cox Town, Bannerghatta Road, Central Silk Board junction, Indiranagar 100 Ft Road, Bangalore Dairy and Hebbal flyover.

However, no damage to property was reported on Saturday. BBMP control rooms received complaints of water logging at houses in lowlying areas, such as G M Palya, Marathahalli, Mahadevpura, Byrasandra, Indiranagar, Nagarbhavi and OMBR Layout.
