Another war of words began on Monday between BJP and JD(U) over Chhapra's mid-day meal tragedy after JD(U) MLA Manjit Singh said that Nitish government will have to probe if 'killer' insecticides found in mid-day meal were also came from Gujarat as timers used in Bodh Gaya blasts were made in Rajkot (Gujarat).
After the said allegations levelled by JD(U) leader, BJP leader Janardan Singh strongly retaliated and said that the Nitish government in Bihar has developed 'Gujaratphobia'. Noteworthy, mid-day meal tragedy in Chhapra district of Bihar had claimed lives of 23 children.
Earlier, anticipating the appointment of Narendra Modi as the BJP's prime ministerial candidate, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had on June 16 broken the 17-year-old alliance between his party, the JD(U), and the BJP.
