Though it looks like a tablet, it has a number of additional hardware features usually not found in many tablets.

New Delhi: In an effort to stand out from the crowded tablet PC market, Gurgaon-based Milagrow has positioned its new tablet PC as a TabTop, something the company claims seeks to replace a fully-loaded laptop.

Though it looks like a tablet, it has a number of additional hardware features usually not found in many tablets, such as an HDMI port, a USB port and an SD card reader.

Powered by a 1.2GHz processor, the Milagrow TabTop PC features an 8-inch capacitive multi-touch display with a 1024x768 pixels. The device runs Android 2.3.1 operating system and sports a 2 megapixel rear and a VGA camera on the front. It comes in two variants – one with 16GB of internal memory and 512 MB DDR3 RAM and the other with 32 GB of internal storage space and 1GB DDR3 RAM. The device has a 5000mAH lithium polymer battery that the company claims gives more than 10 hours of play time. The Internet connectivity options include GPRS, Wi-Fi, 3G, LAN support and Bluetooth. Weighing 455g, it is capable of recording 1080p full HD video and supports Adobe Flash 11.

Milagrow has kept the prices close to the market leaders and that could be a potential disadvantage. The 16GB model is available at approximately Rs 25,000 while the 32GB model costs Rs 29,500. When asked about the seemingly high prices, Rajeev Karwal, founder and CEO, Milagrow Business Solution, said, "We are providing value for money at a price no other brand is offering to fulfill esteem needs of users."

While the Milagrow tablet has some additional features over many competing tablets, it doesn't have a dual-core processor. Poised to hit the market next week, the device comes with a leather case, charger, earphone, USB cable and a 1 year warranty.
