Mumbai: Bollywood actor Rani Mukerji's brother Raja, who was arrested in Versova on Sunday after a small-time television actress accused him of molesting her, was granted bail on Monday on a surety of Rs 10,000. The police said that Raja, who is a producer, tried to molest the starlet in his car. "The woman had gone to show Raja Mukherjee a script. He tried to molest her in the car," said ACP Narsingh Sherkhan.
He said that following her complaint, Raja was sent for a medical test and then taken into police custody. He was lodged in Andheri jail. A case under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code was registered against him, said sources.
