BANGALORE: Dejected over an alcoholic husband, a woman committed suicide along with her 13-year-old daughter. The incident was reported in Nilegeri village in Devanahalli police station limits, on Friday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Manjula (34) and her daughter Shilpa. Manjula was married to Honappa, a construction labourer and Shilpa was studying in class eight.According to the police, Honappa was an alcoholic and despite Manjula asking him to quit drinking, he had continued to drink.

This reportedly frustrated Manjula.

Later, both mother and daughter were found hanging from the ceiling with a saree, the police said.

"Though it is suspected that Manjula killed her daughter before committing suicide, it has to be ascertained through investigation. As of now it looks like suicide and we are investigating," the police added.
