Narikudi student gets bail

MADURAI: Arupukottai magistrate court released one of the two Class XII students, who allegedly threatened a teacher with death on Feb 14 in Virudhunagar, on bail on Thursday. The police lodged the student in the Borstal School at Melur, sent the other to a juvenile home in Madurai. While the police claimed that the students of Narikudi Marudhupandiyar Govt HSS carried a knife, their classmates rejected it. The parent of the student, who is in the juvenile home, said that they would approach the juvenile board on Friday for bail.
