New Delhi: The National Counter Terrorism Centre will be formed by March 1, the Home Ministry said on Monday. While it will be a part of the Intelligence Bureau initially, options of making it a statutory body are open.
The NCTC will be the designated authority for all cases under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
It will be mandatory for all Central and State Intelligence and security machinery to cooperate with the NCTC.
