Coming out heavily against the reports that the alliance between Nair Service Society (NSS)and Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam has reached a hard surface owing to differences of opinion on electing Devaswom Board president and members, the NSS has come to the fore dismissing all such allegations.
In a press release here, NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair said that the NSS has not suggested ‘anyone else’ for the post of Devaswom Board president.
“The only demand raised by the NSS is that the designate should have administrative expertise and transparency. Moreover, he should be a believer of God. It is learnt that the SNDP general secretary Vellappally Natesan too keeps a similar perspective. We do not have any differences of opinion,” Sukumaran Nair said.
“The government has asked the opinion of both the organisations on some terms in the ordinance that is drafted for constituting the new Devasom Board. However, the news on differences of opinion between the two organisations over constituting Travancore Devaswom board are baseless and misleading,” he added.
