New Delhi: Sources, on Monday, said that India is undecided on attending the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony on Friday. Chinese Dissident Liu Xiaobo has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
China is seeing the countries attending the ceremony as supporters of political dissidence and interference in its internal affairs.
A member of the Nobel Prize Committee, in an interview with 'The New York Times' said that India is among the 44 countries that have confirmed presence for the ceremony.
However, sources close to the Indian Government and Foreign Ministry said that a decision on attending the ceremony has yet not been taken.
What is making the matter more complicated is the Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao's visit to India on December 15.
India is still in doubts as attending the ceremony would add disturbance in the India-China relations and not attending it could blame India for undermining human rights.
