Chandigarh: Mobile service provider, Airtel, on Monday announced the launch of a contest to celebrate the victory of good over evil - the 'Ravan Vadh' contest for its prepaid and postpaid customers in Punjab.
"To participate in Ravan Vadh, a customer needs to call 303050 and answer some questions. If he answers the first question correctly, he will cut off five heads of Ravan. By annswering the second question correctly, he will cut off three heads of Ravan and by answering the third question correctly, the remaining two heads will be cut off", said Bharti Airtel Punjab circle CEO Rajiv Jaitly.
However, if the customer answers the first question correctly and makes a mistake in answering the second question, the five heads will reappear.
If the customer answers the first two questions correctly, but goes wrong in the third question, the heads will reappear, he said.
The customer would need to keep on answering questions till he has cut off all 10 heads of Ravan after which he will be automatically entered into a lucky draw to win a mega prize - a silver idol - or a daily prize of a silver coin.
The contest is now open and will close on October 2.
Calls are chargeable at Rs 6 per minute.
Bharti Airtel Limited is one of the private sector providers of telecommunications services with an aggregate of 27.24 million customers as of end of August`06, consisting of 25.65 million mobile customers, he said.
