New Delhi: Randy Orton, better known as 'The Viper', wrote his name in the record books after he won his seventh WWE Championship title at the Night of Champions in Chicago on Sunday.
In the run-up to the title fight against 6-Pack Elimination champion Sheamus, Orton eliminated Chris Jericho with an RKO, while John Cena eliminated Edege with the Attitude Adjustment and Wade Barrett eliminated John Cena with his Wasteland finisher. Orton then eliminated Barrett with an RKO and then pinned Sheamus after an RKO to win the match and become WWE Champion.
In the Women's event, known as the Lumberjill Match, Champion Michelle McCool beat defending Divas Champion Melina to become the new unified Divas Champion.
In a brutal match for the World Heavyweight Championship, Kane picked up a big pinfall win over his brother The Undertaker to retain the belt, while The Hart Dynasty (DH Smith and Tyson Kidd) defended the gold in a Tag Team Turmoil match.
In the other matches, Dolph Ziggler pinned Kofi Kingston to retain the Intercontinental Championship, while Daniel Bryan shocked Miz to wrest the Unites States Championship from him.
