CHENNAI: Camlin, a well known stationery brand, is to organise an All India Camel Colour Contest. The contest, which is to be held in over 250 schools, will witness participation from around 1,50,000 students. The contest has multi-level formats with the participants first being judged at the school level, followed by the regional and national levels. The winners will be judged by well known artists, educationists and child psychologists. Children will be divided on the basis of their classes into groups with specific themes. Group A (kindergarten) will have the theme ‘My Family’, Group B (Classes 1 and 2) will have the theme ‘A visit to the Fun Fair’, Group C (Classes 3 and 4) will have the theme ‘Sports Day at School’, while Group D (Classes 5, 6 and 7) and Group E (Class 8, 9 and 10) will have the themes Market Visit and Wildlife in India respectively. Groups C and D are expected to have maximum participation. Dilip Dandekar, MD and Chairperson, Camlin Ltd said, “We aim to characterise the All India Camel Colour Contest as a celebration of the best of child art in India and keep increasing our contribution to promoting the same.”
