New Delhi: Pakistan has seen a string of attacks since the Feb 18 elections. President Pervez Musharraf blames a failing leadership for the country's problems. He was speaking with Geo TV.
“Leadership has been failing in Pakistan. That is why the turbulence. It’s not the failure of the people of Pakistan. The people of Pakistan are great. They are hardworking, they are capable, they are intelligent,” he said.
Musharraf also spoke of pressures on the government.
“When a society passes through a crisis, the international community talks about terrorism and we become the focus of discussion. To keep the country going in the right direction is a big responsibility and a great burden," he said.
