The state government has constituted two monitoring committees to review the implementation of Integrated Small Ruminant Project of AP in Chittoor, Mahbubnagar and Prakasam districts on quarterly and half-yearly basis.
The National Co-operative Development Corporation (NCDC) had approved the sanction of financial assistance for Rs 79.67 crore (Rs 59.75 crore as loan and Rs 19.92 crore as subsidy) for the project costing Rs.99.59 crore and to be implemented by the AP Sheep & Goat Development Cooperative Federation Limited in the three districts through district unions and 300 primary societies.
As per the directions of NCDC, the state government had to constitute a monitoring committee and a sub-committee to review the project’s implementation. Accordingly, the government issued orders on Tuesday constituting a committee comprising the special chief secretary or principal secretary (AHDD&F department), principal secretary (R&E finance department), APSFGDCF Limited managing director, chief director or director (livestock) of NCDC and regional director of NCDC. It will review the project’s implementation every half year.
The sub-committee, consisting of the director of animal husbandry, managing director of APSGDCF Ltd (who will be the member-convener of the sub-committee) and the regional director of NCDC will review the implementation every quarter.
