Part-time government worker kills self over debt

PUDUCHERRY: A part-time government employee, R Sakthivel, attached to Adi Dravida welfare department, committed suicide on Friday night,leaving a suicide note urging chief minister  N Rangasamy and welfare minister P Rajavelu to improve the lives of their part-time employees. In the suicide note, Sakthivel stated  that no one was responsible for his death. However, the chief minister should take note of his extreme step and make efforts to better the lives of 115 part time workers in the department who were also in similar economic difficulties.The Muthialpet resident, is survived by his wife and two  children. He had been facing difficulties in making both ends meet.
