Parumala Perunnal from October 26

PATHANAMTHITTA: The 109th commemoration perunnal of Parumala St Gregorios Metropolitan will be celebrated at Parumala from October 26 to November 2.Addressing a news conference here the other day,  Parumala Seminary manager Rev M D Yuhanaon Ramban said that the perunnal celebrations would begin with the hoisting of the flag by Geevarghese Mar Osthathios and Yuhanon Mar Chrisostimos at 2 pm on October 26. Valiya Catholicos of Malankara Orthodox Church Baselios Mar Thoma Didimos I would inaugurate the annual Parumala pilgrimage week celebrations at  3 pm. Malankara Association secretary George Joseph  would welcome the gathering. Geevarghese Mar Osthathios would preside over the function. Central secretary Jiji Thomson  would deliver the message.  Yuhanon Mar Chrisostimos,  Mathews Mar Thevodosios, Johns Abraham Konattu, Jacob Thomas Arikupuram,  Thomas T Parumala,  G Oommen and Fr Simon Zacharia would speak. Free medical camp to be held as part of perunnal would be held at 9 am on October 28. Yuhanon Mar Chrisostimos would preside over the function.  Joshua Mar Nikodimos would inaugurate the camp. Fr Alexander Koodarathil would welcome the gathering. Catholicos Baselios Mar Thoma Paulose I  would inaugurate the 91st birth anniversary celebrations and marriage assistance scheme at 10 am on October 29.    The cultural meet as part of the 109th commemoration perunnal of Parumala Metropolitan would be inaugurated by PSC chairman K R Radhakrishnan at 11 am on October 30. Geevarghese Mar Ivanios would preside over the meeting.  The first anniversary of Catholicos installation would be celebrated on November 1. Thomas Mar Athansios would preside over the function. State Human Rights Commission chairman Justice Benjamin Koshy would offer the felicitation address.   The Catholicate centenary celebrations would be inaugurated by Baselios Mar Thoma Didimos I  at 11.30 am on November 2.   Catholicos Baselios Mar Thoma Paulose I would preside over the function.  Sukumar Azhikode would deliver the keynote address. The celebrations would conclude with a procession at 2 pm.
