Srinagar: A police constable died after a teargas shell exploded accidentally in Pampore in south Kashmir district of Pulwama on Sunday.
The victim has been identified as Mehrajuddin. He was rushed to a nearby government hospital with severe head injuries where the doctors declared brought dead.
Police Sources said he was on official duty following a complete shutdown in the valley by a group of protesters to mourn the killing of two terrorists in the highway shooting.
