Uttarakhand Police are searching for two Nepal residents who allegedly stole gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 3 crore from a Bengaluru resident and are supposedly hiding near the Indo-Nepal border.

Uttarakhand Police are searching for two Nepal residents who allegedly stole gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 3 crore from a Bengaluru resident and are supposedly hiding near the Indo-Nepal border.

Banbasa police station SHO Prakash Singh Danu said three domestic helps, hailing from Nepal, made away with gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 3 crore from the house of one Ramchandra in Bengaluru on April 24.

Bengaluru Police had held one of the three accused who during interrogation disclosed that two of his accomplices have escaped to some place in Uttarakhand on Indo-Nepal border. Ramchandra's kin along with Karnataka, Nepal and Uttarakhand police are searching for the two servants on the run in Banbasa area, Danu said.

SSP of Nepal's Kanchanpur district Chavilal said the moment the youths are identified they will be handed over to the Karnataka police.
