The north division police have cracked 254 cases in the last one-and-a-half months and arrested 262 persons. Valuables worth Rs 4.06 crore have been recovered. The recovered property include over four kg of gold jewels worth Rs 1.34 crore, 17 four wheelers worth Rs 94 lakh, Rs 45 lakh cash and other goods. The solved cases include about 82 vehicle theft cases and 14 dacoities.
