HYDERABAD: In a first-ever visit, President Pratibha Patil visited the Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) at Kanchanbagh in the city on Tuesday. She appreciated the activities being carried out at the company in meeting the defence needs of the country.Patil was apprised of the major activities carried out by the company and was taken on a tour of the production facilities. She was accompanied by Governor ESL Narasimhan and major industries minister J Geeta Reddy.The President was received by additional secretary (defence production) V Somasundaran from the ministry of defence, BDL chairman and MD Major General Ravi Khetarpal and his wife Geeta Khetarpal. She was introduced to the joint secretary (missile systems) P K Mishra along with the principal executives of the company, BDL employees trade union leaders.
