Indulge in the Indianised version of vampire chic and opt for deeper and darker tones for your festive gears. Try and experiment with unconventional palette of steel, carbon and raven and inject the quintessential Indian neon of Rani pink and saffron orange.Skirt Lehenga: Swirl and twirl at your friend’s wedding in perfect flared skirt-lehenga which are light in weight and much more dramatic. Use a good moisturiser. Choose a highly protective day cream which contains zinc oxide, and provides SPF30 protection to form a barrier against the elements. Creamier, water-in-oil emulsions are best. And don’t forget about your lips. Chapped lips are often the most noticeable problem for a lady in the winter. Use a highly moisturising lip balm which provides a protective barrier, with vitamin E for good elasticity. What makes things better is that these lip balms are available in an array of tints and flavours.Tips on Make-up: Fall/winter is also the time when you’ll be able to experiment more with gorgeous autumnal colors and the classic smoky eye look. As for lips, you’ll want to find the right shade of red so you can complete your seasonal look. Moving past the general advice, the fall and winter makeup trends for 2011 are shaping up to be bold, sweet, soft and sexy. But before you can complete this year’s trends, you’ll need the basic tools of the trade like foundation, concealer, blush, eye shadows in natural shades, lipstick, lip gloss, brow pencil or powder, and of course mascara, without these powerful tools achieving  any of the hot trends would be difficult. Tips on how to take care of clothes on winters: Proper storage is the key to safeguarding the fabric and keeping them fresh. During summers, when you pack your winter clothes in suitcases or cupboard, they may be subjected to moths and pests. Hence, before storing the winter garments, either hand-wash them or get them dry-cleaned. This would eliminate the chances of attacks by harmful moths.Winter clothes should be washed strictly according to the instructions on the care tag. If it is said, “dry-clean only”, then you should not hand-wash the clothes at all. Always turn winter clothes inside out, while washing them. Do not use harsh detergents, as they may cause harm to the threading of the fabric.Your scarves should be washed with hands several times a month, during the winter season. In order to remove sweat, dirt and stains from mittens, hand-wash them in the beginning and the end of the winter season.To keep the winter clothes smelling fresh and prevent the attack of pests, place scented moth balls in their storage bags. This will give them a fresh aroma, which will last until the next winter, when they are taken out of the bags.
