The incident occured when the boy was flying a kite near his house in Charda Kala village near Hindon City in Karauli district, some 200 km from Jaipur, during which he fell into the borewell about 3 pm on Wednesday.
Following the incident, a rescue operation had been launched to save the boy. Chhotu has been stuck inside the borewell for the 20 hours when the rescue operations were a about to start.
The boy's family members and the villagers had accused the authorities of delaying the rescue operations due to lack of resources. They blocked a road in protest and demanded that the child be rescued soon.
