Rajasthan MLA's Son Rams BMW into Autorickshaw; Kills 3, Injures 5

Rajasthan police on Saturday arrested Independent MLA Nandkishore Meharai's son Siddhartha Meharia after he rammed his BMW into an autorickshaw killing 3 people before hitting a PCR van and injuring four cops in Jaipur's C Scheme area.

According to the police Siddharth Meharia was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

While an assistant superintendent of police and three other personnel were injured, those deceased have not yet been identified.

Sidharth has however reportedly denied that he was driving the car, and said he had not been drinking either.

Meharia was taken into custody for questioning immediately after the accident and his blood sample has been sent for further testing.
