The chairperson of Bharti Enterprises, Sunil Mittal on Wednesday expressed his wish to be a part of the consecration ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, scheduled to be conducted on January 22.

In a conversation with Moneycontrol at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Mittal said that the Ram temple upholds India’s goodness. He further said, “I plan to be there. I think it has been aspiration of India to see the completion of the temple. I think all, cutting across religions should be participating.”

“I think Ram Mandir also represents the goodness of India.. the Ram Rajya which really is not necessary to religion itself. But everything that can be captured in a good way for the country for the people who live there, and for everyone. I think that’s what that particular symbol represents,” Mittal added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several leaders are scheduled to be present at the ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, which is likely to be attended by over 8,000 people.

Besides, the prime minister has urged people across the country to celebrate the day like Diwali at their respective places.

Over 7,000 people have been invited by the temple trust and they include cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, and industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani

The Ram temple complex, built in the traditional Nagara style, will be 380 feet in length (east-west direction), 250 feet in width and 161 feet in height, Rai had said earlier. Each floor of the temple will be 20 feet high and have a total of 392 pillars and 44 gates. No iron is used anywhere in the construction of the temple.
