Relief to Puducherry Minister till October 28

CHENNAI: The Madras HC put on hold the arrest of Puducherry Education Minister P M L Kalyanasundaram, involved in an impersonation case, till October 28. An observation to this effect was made by Justice S Palanivel. Fearing arrest over a complaint alleging that he used a proxy in the recent SSLC exam, Kalyanasundaram had moved the court seeking anticipatory bail. When the matter came up before the court earlier, the court had said that that petitioner should not be arrested till October 21.
