Lahore: The Assembly of Pakistan's Punjab province on Monday passed a resolution against India's alleged violation of the Line of Control and asked the federal government to raise the issue at international forums.
The resolution, tabled by provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, condemned what it described as "Indian aggression" at the LoC. The resolution expressed concern and sadness at the killing of Pakistani soldiers and citizens and demanded the federal government raise the matter at international forums.
The House adopted the resolution unanimously. The PML-N government in Punjab, the country's most populous province, is led by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the brother of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Sanaullah is a senior leader of the PML-N.
