Trains won't ply at night in certain parts of West Bengal till June 1 as the Maoists are observing a black week.

Kolkata/Jhargram: A day after the railway track sabotage in Jhargram that left 90 people dead, the Railway Board has decided to stop trains from plying at night in certain sensitive parts of West Bengal till June 1 as the Maoists are observing a black week since Thursday midnight.

South Eastern Railway officials told CNN-IBN that passenger train services on the Kharagpur-Rourkela and Kharagpur-Adra sections have been suspended at night. Trains on these routes will not be allowed to ply between 10 pm and 5 am.

Meanwhile, rescue operations went on in full swing throughout Friday night at the accident spot near Jhargram.

The railway officials say the casualty may rise with a possibility of decomposed bodies inside the three coaches -- S4, S5 and S6 -- that were badly damaged.

The primary task now is to remove the coaches from the tracks and, then get the bodies out, the officials said.
