New Delhi: Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day on Monday as a mark of respect to sitting NCP Member Vasant Chavan who died earlier this month.
Before adjourning the House, Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat described Chavan as a noted Parliamentarian, dedicated social worker and able administrator.
Earlier, the House condemned the Mumbai blasts and the grenade attacks in Srinagar and observed a minute's silence in the memory of the dead.
