SABARIMALA: The hill shrine of Lord Ayyappa was opened for the eight-day Vishu festival on Tuesday evening. Melsanthi G Balamurali opened the sreekovil of the temple at 5.30 pm in the presence of Thantri Kandararu Maheswraru. As a practice, no ritual was conducted in the evening.Heavy rush of pilgrims was witnessed for the darsan of Lord Ayyappa in the evening.Vishukani DarsanSabarimala executive officer M Satheeshkumar said the sreekovil would be opened for Vishukani darsan at 4 am on April 14. Arrangements have been completed for controlling the pilgrims on Vishu day.
