Jerry Haleva, who has played the role of Saddam Hussein in many films, says his work in now slowing down.

New Delhi: Do you know who’s facing the worst consequences of Saddam Hussein’s hanging?

No. It’s not George Bush as yet. But Jerry Haleva.

Helva is the man who has played the late Iraqi dictator in a number of films and his career graph is on the decline after Saddam’s death. He said he is being asked about his own fate after the death of the deposed Iraqi leader.

"I have been getting a good deal of questioning about whether my career is permanently over," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

The actor who has starred in The Big Lebowski and Hot Shots, confesses that the number of roles offered to him are bound to “slow significantly” in the future, but his career is still very much alive.

"I think it's going to slow significantly, but the reports of Jerry Haleva's hanging are greatly exaggerated," he said.

In an interview with a Canadian newspaper earlier this month, Jerry ha said that he has barely had any work as Saddam in the last two years - being limited to one small political spoof.

"I think that clearly the unpopularity of the war has diminished the humour of the Saddam representation,” The Sun quoted him as saying.

"It's not a humorous or pleasant subject for most people. So I think most people shy away from it,” he added.
