ANANTAPUR: Primary education minister S Sailajanath hinted at revamping primary education in the state. Speaking to mediapersons at Sarva Siksha Abhiyan office here on Thursday, he expressed concern over fall in standards in primary education.He, however, said necessary steps would be taken to instil confidence among parents to join their wards in government schools.Saying that the government has directed private school managements to display information about student fees, expenditure incurred on teachers salaries etc under the Right to Education Act, he said majority of schools have failed to implement the orders till date.The minister warned that stringent action would be initiated against the erring management. He justified Congress state in-charge Gulam Nabi Azad's recent statement that consensus among all leaders was a must for bifurcation of state.He said Azad had only reminded the Telangana leaders that state bifurcation was not possible by resignations but needed an unanimous resolution in the Assembly.Sailajanath said MLAs, MPs and ministers from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema would leave for Delhi on July 18 to meet the party leaders and underline the need for keeping the state united.
