Kaushambi, UP: In a suspected honour killing, a young girl was hacked to death allegedly by her father and other family members over a love affair in Khalilabad village.
Soni (20) was having an affair with a boy belonging to her caste but the family members, specially her father, were opposed to their relationship, police said today.
Last night, the girl's father, uncle and cousin allegedly dragged her to a nearby temple and hacked her to death, they said, adding the accused were absconding.
On the complaint of the victim's mother, an FIR was lodged against the three and efforts were on to nab them, police said. Investigations were on.
