The seven-time champion has been in this state for 18 days since hurting his head on a rock while skiing in the French Alps. The doctors have reduced oygen supply to his brain for a speedy recovery.
However, a German publication quoting experts said that Schumacher's condition is critical and may stay in this state for life. The report also mentioned that patients put in arficial coma are brought out of it in 14 days. But a scan was conducted last week with an expert saying long coma indicates serious brain damage.
