THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The alliance of SFI, AISF and VJD emerged victorious in the Kerala University Union election held here on Thursday. M Harikrishnan M of Fathima Matha National College, Kollam, and Rahul S of University College, Thiruvananthapuram, both of them of the SFI, were elected as union chairman and general secretary respectively. Junaid Kaippani of BNV BEd Centre, Thiruvallam, Pramod N of Kariavattom campus, and Nimisha Ibrahim were elected as vice-chairmen while Harijith of SN College, Cherthala, and Sajith of MSM College, Kayamkulam, were elected as joint secretaries.The distribution of seats of other committees are as follows; executive committee - SFI (10 seats), KSU (4) and AISF (1); Accounts Committee - SFI (3), AISF (1) and KSU (1); Students Council - SFI (7) and KSU (3); Senate - SFI (6), KSU (3) and AISF (1).
