Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan feels that its unfair to subject new-born AbRam to his life, which is constantly under media glare and wants his son to remain untouched by this job hazard.
Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan's baby boy, through surrogacy was reportedly born on May 27 at 34 weeks of pregnancy. After spending almost seven weeks in the hospital, he is back home now. The couple already has two children Aryan and Suhana.
"I am very happy that I am blessed by such a beautiful child. AbRam is my best production. I would not like to talk a lot about him because a lot of people have already spoken a lot of things before he deserved to or before my family or I could say anything. I think it was unfair for people to know half-truth and talk about it but I don't hold it against anyone," Shah Rukh told PTI.
"It is depressing and sad that someone who has just entered this world is subjected to my life. I would like him to be untouched by the world as much as possible," he said.
While talking about his son, SRK seemed a bit emotional. The 47-year-old actor did not wish to talk about his health. Also, there were media reports that a pre-natal sex determination test had been conducted, following which the
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had sent a team to SRK's residence to ascertain the facts. The team, however, was turned away and SRK has rubbished all these speculations.
This Eid King Khan has two reasons to cheer his new born son and 'Chennai Express', which releases on August 9.
"This Eid is really going to be very special because I have a new member in my family... everything else is secondary. I am going to celebrate it with my family and close friends," Shah Rukh said.
The actor has not slept for days courtesy hectic promotions of 'Chennai Express'. "I have not slept for nine days but I still feel good. Even if I take bath now I am sure I will feel alright. I can stay awake for three more days," he smiles even as he apologises for keeping the media waiting at his residence
'Mannat' for hours."
Hurrying to wrap up the interview to get reviews from close pals including Farah Khan and Farhan Akhtar after the special screening of Chennai Express, he avers, "I had not done comedy films in many years like I did earlier 'Badshaah', 'Duplicate', 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani' etc. I have done four-five Hindi films but at that time comedy films were not given much status than romantic or action films."
SRK says he is in a state of mind where he wants to have fun, joke around and make people laugh and hence he chose to do 'Chennai Express'.
In the promos of 'Chennai Express' Shah Rukh does not shy away from telling that he plays a 40-year-old Rahul.
"I am 47-year-old in real and I am playing 40 or 27 year old in films, which means I am still lying. I am an actor and we are supposed to do whatever the character demands. The idea of the film is at the age of 25, 30 our way of life changes or something happens in our lives whether it is due to education, profession or marriage. So in this film here is a guy who is untouched even at the age of 40," he added.
Besides, romancing Deepika Padukone for the second time, Shah Rukh is also seen doing action but in Rohit Shetty style.
SRK says it was easy for him to do action in 'Chennai Express' due to safety measures in place. "'Ra.One' was the most difficult thing, it had dangerous action. Now there are enough safety measures but still people get hurt, you feel injured and tired. There are days when you need to take off and go for X-Rays but that is all part and parcel of the job I do. It is not difficult to do anything. Jackie Chan has 85 broken bones and is alright I just have seven," he said.
Considering Rohit is known for doing over the top action in his film, SRK reveals there is action in this film but its comic in a sense. "There is intense action in the end but that is for last four-five minutes," SRK added.
