KOCHI: The vessel carrying consignments of red sandalwood, which were suspected to be smuggled via Kochi, has been reportedly brought back by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials from Dubai on Tuesday night. The ship is learnt to have anchored in the outer channel of the Cochin port.The DRI officials two weeks back had seized 13.5 tonnes of red sandalwood when it was brought to the ICTT. The DRI officials had arrested three persons including the key suspect Anil Kumar from Coimbatore. The red sandalwood was said to be sent to China and Hong Kong for manufacturing musical instruments.
