In a disturbing incident from Ghorasahan block of Motihari district in Bihar, a government school teacher has been accused of misconduct with a minor student, leading to public uproar and swift action from authorities. The accused, identified as Rakesh Kumar from Athmohan, was allegedly caught red-handed with an eighth-grade student from his school. Reports indicate that locals, upon learning of the situation, surrounded the teacher and the girl at a camp outside Ghorasahan, where the teacher used to take her under the guise of extra classes.
Eyewitnesses report that when villagers knocked on the door after suspecting foul play, the teacher initially claimed they were conducting extra classes. However, upon entering the room, they found the teacher in a compromising position with the student. Incensed by the teacher’s actions, the villagers confronted him and a video capturing the subsequent altercation has since gone viral on social media platforms. In the video, people can be seen expressing their anger and physically confronting the accused.
The teacher’s conduct disturbed the community, remarked a local resident who witnessed the incident, adding that such behaviour was unacceptable, especially from someone entrusted with educating children.
Authorities have swiftly responded to the incident, with the Block Education Officer of Ghorasahan taking immediate action against the teacher. The matter was being thoroughly investigated and a detailed explanation was demanded from the accused, stated the officer.
Meanwhile, the minor student’s family has expressed shock and anguish over the incident, who said that their trust had been shattered. The student’s father demanded strict action against the guilty.
This incident has sparked outrage across the region, raising concerns about the safety and well-being of students in educational institutions.
