BANGALORE: Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital on Tuesday  launched its super speciality department for shoulder arthroscopic surgery at the hospital premises.Speaking during the launch Dr Hemanth Kumar Reddy, head of department, Shoulder Arthroscopic Surgery said, “Most of the surgical procedures will be performed with minimal invasive arthroscopic techniques, thus minimising tissue damage to the patient. This will enable a person to recover quickly and with minimum hospitalisation.”“The team will have well trained orthopedic surgeons in the field of shoulder surgery and dedicated people from physiotherapy. A well-equipped physiotherapy department along with a dedicated team of physiotherapists have been put in place for taking care of post-operative rehabilitation,"   he added.Two people among ten are found to be suffering from shoulder pain, he said. Dislocations, sub-acromial, impingement syndromes, sports injuries, shoulder joint replacement for arthritis, diabetic shoulder stiffness and paediatric erb’s palsy among children, adult s and senior citizens will be treated.
