BANGALORE: The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) launched ‘Aarogya Saarige’, a shuttle service between government hospitals in South Bangalore to help patients who are regularly referred to hospitals. The two mini-buses were flagged off by Home and Transport Minister R Ashok along with S Suresh Kumar, Minister for Law, Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs and BWSSB. Suresh Kumar said “I was informed about the problems patients undergo on October 1 and had promised to take action within a month. Today, it gives me immense pleasure to see the opening of the service ”The BMTC will be operating 2 mini-buses on 24 trips linking Jayadeva Hospital, Kidwai Memorial, NIMHANS, Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, Sanjay Gandhi Hospital and the Jayanagar Government Hospital. Besides these routes, there are also 2 schedules between Majestic and Sathya Sai Hospital and Wockhardt Hospital on Bannerghatta Road.
