New Delhi: The music rights of Dhanush starrer 'Mariyaan', based on a real life story, has been acquired by Sony Music.

Ashok Parwani, head south, Sony Music Entertainment, says music will play an important role in 'Mariyaan'.
"The film today is much talked about and we are confident that the music will play a pivotal role in the film," Parwani said in a statement.
