Mumbai: In a latest development in the Jiah Khan death case, actor Sooraj Pancholi extricated Jiah's foetus, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said in its chargesheet.
According to the chargesheet accessed by CNN-IBN, Jiah was four weeks pregnant when she informed Pancholi. Pancholi was afraid that if Jiah got hospitalised, their relationship would become public. He then decided to take the matter in his own hands.
The incident left a deep emotional scar on Jiah and depression finally drove her to commit suicide.
Talking about the tragic death of her daughter, Jiah's mother Rabia Amin said, "I'm upset with what has happened. This is a case of homicide and not suicide. I believe that she has been murdered."
Jiah, the 25-year-old British-American actress, was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home in Juhu on June 3, 2013. Her relationship with newbie actor Sooraj Pancholi, son of actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zareena Wahab, was said to be under strain and it was suspected that it drove her to end her life.
