Soren to meet top officials to discuss drought-like situation

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will discuss with top officials this Monday on the various drought measures to be taken in the face of scanty rainfall.

He will chair the meeting to be attended by top bureaucrats, according to an official release in Ranchi on Saturday.

In his Independence Day speech, Soren had said figures like rainfall and crop coverage would be reviewed before placing them before the cabinet for a decision in the wake of drought-like situation in the state.
