Three people were killed in rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh as moderate to heavy rains lashed several parts of the state on Saturday.
Lightning killed one person each in Hardoi and Baduan while another perished in a house collapse, triggered by heavy rains, in Jaunpur, reports said.
The weather office said the south-west monsoon was active in the state with Shravast receiving 112.4 mm of rains followed by Bahraich 52 and Lakhimpur Kheri 49.6.
River Ganga was flowing perilously close to the red mark at Fatehgarh, the Central Water Commission said.
Sharda was flowing above the danger mark at Palia Kalan (Kheri) and Ghaghra close to the red mark at Elgin Bridge, Ayodhya and Turtipar.
Quano, in spate for the past one week, was flowing above the red mark at Chandradeep Ghat (Gonda) and Mukhlispur(Sant Kabirnagar), the Central Water Commission said.
