Speaker may nix all resignations

HYDERABAD: Speaker Nadendla Manohar is likely to reject all the 81 resignations pending before him before the commencement of the winter session of the Assembly, sources said.As few MLAs who have put in their papers are showing any interest in meeting him, the speaker is understood to have decided to reject them all.The speaker might look into complaints lodged by political parties in case any of their MLAs violate the party whip when voting takes place on the no-confidence motion which the TDP is planning to move as soon as the Assembly meets on December 1."The speaker will then take a serious view of the indiscipline of MLAs and consider disqualifying them," a source in the Assembly said.
