SAMBALPUR: Sanhita Panigrahi of Shantipada in Balangir town notched the second position in Plus-II Science examination with 555 marks. A student of Juvodaya Junior Science College, Sanhita aims to become a doctor. She had also secured second position in the matriculation examination as a student of Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir in Balangir.Three students of Vikash Junior College, Bargarh, found place in the top-20 list in CHSE Science.While Deepak Kumar Sahu, a native of Dulanpur village in Godbhaga of the district, stood 12th securing 533 marks, Swetapadma Pradhan of Padampur in the district has bagged 13th with 532 marks. Chandan Kumar Das of Barpali has been placed 17th with 527 marks.In Arts stream, Smrutiranjan Bharasagar of Ainlasari village in Sonepur district bagged eighth position by securing 493 marks. A student of D P College in Dungripali, Smrutiranjan is the son a village level worker (VLW). Similarly, Lisa Bhoi and Bhagyashree Pradhan of Jagabandhu Das Women’s College in Kadlipali in Bargarh have secured 12th and 19th ranks by securing 489 and 480 marks respectively. Rinu Padhan of Bijepur College in the district got 18th rank with 482 marks.Besides Sanhita, another Balangir boy Purandar Biswal of Rajendra College also made it to the Top-20 list in Arts stream by securing 20th position with 479 marks.In Commerce stream, Sonali Sharma of G M Junior College and Karan Agrawal of NICE College in Balangir have been placed in seventh position with 538 marks each. Sonali is followed by her classmate Yogesh Kumar Sarda who has secured 537 marks to be placed in the eighth rank. Similarly, Abhishek Sahu of NICE College in Balangir has secured 532 marks to bag 11th rank while Gouri Khedia of Ayush College in Balangir has been placed at 20th position with 523 marks.
