BANGALORE: A two-day cyber security summit will be held in the city on May 4 and 5. The event aims to discuss the trends and other aspects of cyber security. The Department of Science, Technology, IT and BT will be hosting the event in association with other private companies.Stating that Karnataka has taken several active steps to contain the number of cyber attacks, Hari Kumar Jha of KEONICS said that this aspect of security had been gaining importance of late.The organisers said competitions, panel discussions and expert lectures would be part of the summit. They added that this would be with the motive of sharing expertise on the subject to better equip people to understand new age threats.Sectors such as banking, law enforcement, academia and others stand a chance to benefit from the stalls during the summit, they said.
