Jama Masjid's Shahi Imam remained present at the procession.

New Delhi: The two alleged terrorists, Atif and Sajid, killed during the Friday's shootout in South Delhi were buried after post-mortem on Monday.

Amidst heavy police presence, the bodies were taken to graveyard in Nizamuddin for burial late in the evening. The relatives complained that they were kept waiting for more than six hours before the bodies were handed over to them.

Besides relatives, about 200 people including Shahi Imam Bukhari of Jama Masjid remained present throughout the procession.

The relatives had sought permission to bury them at the Jamia Nagar graveyard but it was turned down by authorities.

There was uneasy calm at the trauma centre mortuary of AIIMS where bodies were given to relatives. Parents of both the alleged bomb-planters were not present.

While talking to reporters at the burial site, Bukhari said, "We can not say that this encounter is fake or not but encounters in themselves can't be justified."

It is up to the courts to decide if a person is guilty or not and the police do not have the right to label anyone as a terrorist, the Imam said questioning Delhi Police's manner of probing the serial blasts that rocked the national capital

on September 13.

Claiming that there are "many loopholes" in the police probe, Bukhari demanded a judicial inquiry into the blasts.

"We are against anyone who wants to spread terrorism in the country," Bukhari added.
