Thai army, a tourist attraction
Tourists in Thailand are excited to see tanks and soldiers on the streets of the Capital.

New Delhi: Armed troops tanks in the streets but the mood in the Thai Capital Bangkok could not be more normal. In fact, the Thai army is now the latest tourist attraction in the city.

Guns and roses – that's the latest sight on the streets of Bangkok. Tourists in Thailand are excited to see tanks and soldiers on the streets of the Capital.

So it's no longer pictures of the Marble Temple or Teak Palace that snapshot hungry tourists in Bangkok are now after. The hottest snap shot is one taken against the boys in olive green and of course their equipment.

For Bangkok's street-smart tourist guides it's a great new line of business.

Thai tour guide Jackie says, "It's possible that a lot of foreigners want to see this. Last night I already brought a group here. They quite enjoy taking photos, they have never seen flowers on tanks before."

And the tourists are happy, they are not complaining.

Australian tourist Rick Walkom says, "Everybody seems happy and relaxed. And what amazes us is everyone is walking around taking pictures and photos. It's very entertaining,"

For urban Thais many of whom support the coup it's an opportunity to show their gratitude to the army.

What's your reaction?
