THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Vithura police on Sunday nabbed a person wanted in a theft case in Dubai. The police said the accused, Abdul Jabbar, 46, was absconding from Dubai since 2005 after stealing 1,43,000 Dubai dirhams from a shipping company office where he was working.Abdul Jabbar who hails from Tholicode here had then stayed at several countries and the northern parts of Kerala before settling at Tholicode.The police arrested him from a rented house.The police said they suspect Jabbar was purposefully living in a rented house to avoid suspicion. The accused was arrested by a special police team led by Nedumangad DySP Muhammed Shafi, Palode CI Pradeep Kumar, Vithura SI Siju K L Nair, grade SI Satheeshkumar, senior civil police officers Vinod, Salim, R Vinod, and Satyan.
