Three-star status for hotels: CBI quizzed

KOCHI:The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday quizzed industrialist V M Radhakrishnan alias Chakku Radhakrishnan in connection with a case in which they arrested Indian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) officials for receiving bribe for giving three-star status to hotels.The CBI sources said that Radhakrishnan was summoned to the office on Thursday and quizzed for around two hours. The CBI officials had earlier raided the hotels belonging to Radhakrishnan. Three officials were arrested by the CBI after they conducted raids on the ITDC office in Kochi last month. The CBI seized several documents and cash from the office and houses of the ITDC officials.
